Body Beast & Me: Day 1


Today I started a new Challenge.  As a wellness coach, I facilitate lots of support groups for people with varied goals like weight loss, disease management, strengthening & toning, even weight gain.  I exercise myself most days and eat clean 90% of the time, but I have gotten a little too unfocused on my own journey- so today marks the beginning of my personal fitness challenge.

I chose today for very personal reasons.  It is the day after Easter and a time of renewal.  Spring is starting to peek through the cold here in NJ and it is time to shed the stress of the old and encourage new growth.  

As for the program I chose, it is called Body Beast.  

Body Beast has me consuming more calories as outlined in the plan than I ever have before on a program and that makes me a little nervous!  I am very excited though at the same time. Luckily, I am registered for a group call tonight with Sagi Kalev to answer questions about women and “beasting”.  I’ll share what I learn here tomorrow.

Strength training is so important for women, even more so as we age. Can’t wait to see what the next 89 days are like!

  1. Hello. I have been doing bodybeast for quite some time now and i LOVE it! I was a little hesitant to start this program myself, but i am so glad i got over that and did it. i know you will fall in love too. If you dont mund me asking, how did you get on a call with Sagi. I recently found out i have diastsis recti and would love to continue the program but Im not sure what i can do andg what modifications if any i should be doing.
